For over 11 years Annie has been formally practicing and studying yoga all over the world. In 2017 she received her 200-HR YTT certificate in Rishikesh, India and has since studied in Los Angeles, Boston, Cambodia and now her hometown of Denver, where she considers herself a student just as much as she does a teacher. In 2019, Annie returned to India to study Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda. The perspective she has gained from learning in both Eastern and Western environments continues to reaffirm to her that yoga can look like many different things, and it is ultimately a practice of Self-discovery.

Annie’s intention as an instructor is to provide students with practical ways of how to make yoga part of their everyday life, rather than just something they “do” when they are at the studio. Her Hatha-based classes are appropriate for students healing from injuries, beginners, or long-time students looking to be re-inspired by the roots of their practice. Annie stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter Movement and is an advocate for her fellow LGBTQ+ community. Ultimately, she believes when we take better care of ourselves we are taking better care of the planet.
